Javier Bustillos started Buffalo United Artists (BUA), which premiered in 1992 with its landmark production of A...My Name is Alice. Some directorial credits of Javier for BUA include: Jeffrey, The Heidi Chronicles, Fit to be Tied, Bent, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Virgins and Other Myths, Message to Michael, The Dying Gaul, Gross Indecency, and Love! Valor! Compassion! for which he won an Artie Award for Outstanding Direction of a Play.
